Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

The IT Analyst will provide technical support to users in an accurate and efficient manner. They will serve as the first point of contact for computer issues and help with basic technical problems. They will assist the Director of IT with setting up new office equipment and repair of existing equipment.

Principal Responsibilities:

–         Provide first level contact, convey, and follow through on resolution of staff issues with hardware and software

–         Install and update desktops, laptops, peripherals, and networks

–         Install, update, and configure software applications

–         Maintain incoming help desk tickets

–         Set up and maintain user accounts and credentials

–         Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support

–         Monitor existing interfaces, fix errors, and troubleshoot issues as they arise

–         Assist with maintenance of internal company intranet

–         Assist with maintenance of telephone system

–         Will open tickets with outside vendors as needed or requested and will follow through until resolved

–         Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

Associates Degree or BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field

Three or more years’ experience with computer hardware, software and using a help desk ticketing system

Previous healthcare experience preferred

 

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

–         Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Office 365

–         Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

–         Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (install, setup, and troubleshooting)

–         Knowledge of computer software with ability to troubleshoot issues remotely

–         Knowledge of set-up and maintenance of hardware and peripherals

–         Basic knowledge of healthcare software systems preferred

Skills and Abilities:

–         Ability to think through processes and potential impact to clinical staff with regard to daily IT needs

–         Strong verbal and written communication skills

–         Strong organization and documentation skills

–         Proven experience in providing support to users

–         Ability to competently use Microsoft Office and other appropriate software programs

–         Ability to recommend procedure modifications or improvements

–         Advanced technology skills

–         Commitment to timely completion of tasks and projects

–         Ability to prioritize with attention to detail and maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings: Medical office

Adverse working environment Work may be stressful due to continual interaction with others, long hours required and nature of the medical specialty.

Physical Effort: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this role including walking, bending, standing, reaching, and sitting. Lifting up to 40 pounds of technology equipment.

Local Travel: Occasional, within city limits only

Domestic/International Travel: None

Extensive Hours: Varies due to need
